How it works

Initial Enquiry

Let me know when you will be getting married, the venue and how many guests you expect to have, as well as a rough idea of what kind of cake you have in mind for your big day. I can then give you an initial quote.

Secure the Date

You can then secure the date with Karen Elizabeth Cakes with a non-refundable booking fee of £75. All balance payments are due three weeks before the event (see Terms and Conditions for more information).

Consultation

Once you have paid your booking fee, start collecting inspiration for your cake. These can be images of wedding dresses, colours, flowers, jewellery, or anything that you would like to be incorporated into the design of your cake. These images will all be put together on a mood board. Then 2-4 months prior to your wedding, we can arrange to have a wedding cake consultation so that we can chat through your ideas in more detail. The consultation can be held either via a Zoom video call, or in person at Karen Elizabeth Cakes. Alternatively, you may prefer to just chat via email. We will then take all the information, images and ideas and design a beautiful bespoke cake for your special day.

Cake Taster Boxes

We can provide you with a cake taster box so that you can try some of our cake. Our cake taster boxes each contain a selection of five popular flavours chosen by us for you to enjoy (exc. fruit cake). The cost of the taster box is £25 and can be collected from us or we can post to you for an additional fee to cover postage and packaging. Please contact us to place your order. Please note that these cakes are produced in a kitchen where nuts and gluten are handled. My cakes are not suitable for those with food allergies

Pricing

The prices below are based on each tier being vanilla iced cakes. Alternative flavours, intricate decoration (such as sugar flowers, royal icing, stenciling, etc.), set up and delivery are all additional costs. I can make other size cake tiers, just let me know your preferences. For a more accurate quote, please contact me.
